1. All Ridge & Royal Rhodesian Ridgebacks must remain in possession of their original owner. If this is not possible, the owner has to inform the Ridge & Royal Kennel urgently. No Dog will be sold or transferred to another owner or brought to a shelter by the purchaser. If the original owner can provide a new home, it needs to be approved by Ridge & Royal Kennel. Otherwise the owner has to pay a rehoming and transportation fee of $500 to the Ridge & Royal Kennel if he/she can’t maintain the dog anymore.
2. All Ridge & Royal Rhodesian Ridgebacks are coming with a veterinarian health certificate, dewormed and veterinarian screened for Dermoid Sinus and Heart Issues. By signing this contract the new owner recognizes that the puppy is completely healthy at the day receiving the puppy. All health issues that arise after the contract date are not the responsibility of the Ridge & Royal Kennel. We don't believe in early vaccinating the pups and know about the risk of damaging the immature immune system by injections. We highly recommend to follow our advices to keep the puppy healthy. We can guarantee by parentage that all puppies are genetically free of DM and JME.
3. All Ridge & Royal Rhodesian Ridgebacks will be micro chipped and are accompanied with official paperwork (pedigrees) from our German Breeder Club DRRC.
4. Ridge & Royal Rhodesian Ridgebacks are living as family members inside the household. Cages and Crates (closed) are allowed as transportation tools only. No Rhodesian Ridgeback will be chained or kenneled outside. If the Rhodesian Ridgeback of the Ridge & Royal Kennel is found in the named conditions or any other disturbing condition (ie: abused, starving, locked in a car, chained for an extended time) the Ridge & Royal Kennel has the right to rescue the dog without refunding the owner.
5. Ridge & Royal Rhodesian Ridgebacks are not to be interbred at any time with other Rhodesian Ridgebacks unless prior approval from the Ridge & Royal Kennel. Unpermitted breeding will result in a $5.000 fine.
The Ridge & Royal Kennel reserves the right to make a final decision on ALL breeding events.The Ridge & Royal Kennel recommends no castration for their puppies and allows castration not before the age of 3 years.
6. The new owners promise to give their new family member all the love, support, and commitment that they deserve.
Failure to follow all agreed terms of this contract can result in complete forfeiture/possession and ownership of the Ridge & Royal Kennel. All legal and court expenses incurred to regain physical custody of Ridge & Royal Rhodesian Ridgebacks will be incurred by purchaser/owner of the Ridge & Royal Rhodesian Ridgeback.
The Ridge & Royal Kennel highly recommends the participation of dog/obedience training with the puppy during the first year.
